Get up to $10,000 to turn your ideas into impact!

If you got paid to work on a project of your own, what would you build?

The Oregon Innovation Challenge is a place for University of Oregon students and faculty to work on their own projects. We offer workshops, mentorship, and funding opportunities to help you make something useful.

March

Third workshop and prepare for pitches! Learn how to pitch you idea in a concise and professional setting.

April

Final pitches! Present your idea for a chance to win up to $10,000 in funding.

May

Funded teams join the Cameron Innovation Fellowship program, an 8 week cohort for the most promising and committed founders at U of O.

June

The OIC Spring Showcase provides a platform for you to share your project with an audience of hundreds, including friends, family, investors, and future OIC members.

How it works

We create a supportive community for you to build skills, pursue passions, and take action—whether that means building a new product, starting a company, creating a student club, launching a creative project, or whatever other project you like. You can join with an existing project, a new idea, or even just an area you want to explore. Everyone is welcome—from first-year undergraduates to PhD candidates.

Interested? Let us know.

This only takes two minutes. The program includes funding opportunities, but funding decisions are NOT determined by what you write in this form. So don't worry about making it perfect. Once you submit the form, we'll reach out to walk you through the process and let you how you can get started with the program. If you decide it’s not for you, you can opt out at any point. We’d love to hear from you!

Ask yourself, ‘Why not me?’
